A statement signed by Dr Ashir T. Inua of the Faculty said the erudite professor of Mass Communication died half an hour ago.
Dr Inua said “Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun. Professor Balarabe Maikaba. We love you and Allah loves you more than we do. We lost you Professor. May Allah forgive your sins and accept you as His obidient servant.”
It’s still unclear if the Professor died from COVID-19 but a close source revealed he died after a brief illness.
The funeral prayers was observed after 4.00 pm on Sunday at his family house in Fagge, close to Plaza Cinema, Kano metropolis.
