COVID-19: FG To Probe Kogi, Cross River Zero Case Claims- See The Reaction of People.

The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, said on Friday at the daily briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja that the Federal Government would dispatch its technical teams to validate the claims by Kogi and Cross River states that they did not have COVID-19 cases.

Ehanire said, “Kogi State is one of the two states that have said that they do not have COVID-19 patients. They seem to be sure of this. So, the agreement we have had with them after discussion with the governor is that we shall send a team in just to validate that fact and engage the authorities.

“Of course, we do that for national records and to be able to report to the world the situation in our country. We tried to send a team into Kogi on Thursday but there were some differences there. So, we need to engage the state governor again and state some conditions within which the ministry and NCDC can complete their jobs. We are going to send a team to Cross River next week also.”

People's reaction to the prob
Two people who reacted anonymously said:
1. Federal govt.needs more grant or funds from International bodies to embezzle. You the more corona virus cases the more money they get (FG). While did NCDC sent to the state refused to do test on Covid 19 be4 they will commence test on Kogi people. Why did he run away?
When our evil leaders are tired of punishing the masses or let me say when God Almighty is tired of their evil deeds. He(God) knows what to do.

2. No wonder, Minister of health said they are ready for corona virus. Can you imagine that? I am not a politician but the truth must be told. God Almighty is coming for all our evil leaders if they fail to come to Him in repentance. I am not a pastor neither prophet but truth must be told. God Almighty is coming for them. They are enriching their pockets, thousands of Nigerians have lost their jobs and businesses.
Issokey!!!

GOVERNOR WIKE OF RIVERS STATE UNVEILING THE BITTER AND HARD TRUTH ABOUT REVIEWING EDUCATION AFTER COVID-19

Governor Wike of Rivers State is really making sense here. Read and deeply ponder about his take on the topic.

"After COVID-19 we really need to review our education system and its core values in this nation. If there's anything COVID-19 has exposed or taught us is how useless our education system really is in Nigeria. We can't even use our education to solve our problems in terms of crisis. We can't manufacture test kits, we have to rely on others to do it for us, can't make our own standard ventilators, we aren't even trying to manufacture any serious drug or produce any vaccine on our own, we are just waiting for others to do it. Are we saying that if others don't give us test kits we wont be able to carry out the test?

If they don't manufacture ventilators we won't? If they don't make any drug or vaccine we will all sit down and die??????
We can't even sit down to think of our own home grown solutions that will work for us with our unique culture and situation, instead of copying the emergency trial and error lockdowns that Western nations had to introduce for themselves to fight the virus. We seriously need to sit down and review our education and it's importance to us as a society and how we should use it to solve our problems after this pandemic is over.

We the governors in Nigeria needs to invest here than embezzling state funds to buy edifice in abroad.
Now there's no abroad to go again and no hospital here, how do we survive!?

For example do a research to find out if there is any single COVID 19 case in Madagascar as of today the answer is non because they used self made herb to cure the virus while the evil WHO disapproved it but the president have an order to use it even drank it on live broadcast.

NYESOM WIKE
RIVERS STATE GOVERNOR.

GUNNERS LATEST NEWS: Aubameyang ‘promised grandad he would play for Madrid’, Saka to Liverpool, Partey transfer.

ARSENAL have returned to individual training as the Premier League  waits to hear Boris Johnson's announcement tonight before announcing a potential return.

But the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is still uncertain with the Gabon star having previously told his grandad he will play for Real Madrid.

Follow all the very latest updates from North London below...

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Man Utd have been handed a transfer boost as Paul Merson reckons Jack Grealish, also linked with Chelsea and Arsenal, will “100 per cent” quit Aston Villa if they are relegated this season.

Merson told Sky Sports: “I would say 100 per cent. If Villa go down then I think they will get rid of Jack and he will be sold,

“He's a Villa man through and through, he loves Aston Villa, but he will have to move on, there is no doubt about that if he wants to better himself.

“It's horrible saying that, better yourself, because it's a great club, but he will have to play in the Premier League.

“In this day and age, you play in the Premier League if you want to play for England. It's very rare that you're not playing in the Premier League or a top European league and you're playing for England. For me, he would have to be sold.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Real Madrid want a transfer for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sorted by June 15 or will look elsewhere for a new striker, according to reports.

The Arsenal captain, 30, is out of contract next year and is not expected to sign a new deal at the Emirates.

It means the Gunners need to make a decision on his future in the comings months – either sell him this summer or let him leave for free in 2021.

A £30million offer is expected to be enough to convince the North London club to let Auba go.

They are determined to avoid losing valuable assets for nothing as they did when Aaron Ramsey joined Juventus last summer when his contract expired.

And so, according to the Mirror, Real Madrid are hoping to land the Gabon international when the transfer market reopens.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Arsenal left their soul in Highbury when they quit the stadium in 2006, claims Arsene Wenger.

He told beIN Sports: “You are always in a position when you are a football club to move forward or stay in the past.

“To compete with other clubs, we had to build a new stadium. The rules had changed.

“We wanted to create the same as Highbury but we left our soul at Highbury.

“We could never recreate exactly. We didn't find exactly the same atmosphere.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------

With Arsenal having reportedly been offered Mauro Icardi in return for skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a shock swap deal with Inter Milan, SunSport examine how the two strikers compare.

Who do you think would do a better job under Mikel Arteta next season?

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Kieran Tierney has hailed Mikel Arteta's “amazing” understanding of the game.

He told Sky Sports: “I've seen all his video meetings, I've been in the meetings together as a team, before the games, after the games and just his analysis is amazing.

“In Dubai for the winter break I was doing some one-on-one work with him and that's when I realised this is brilliant, I'm learning a lot in a rehab session.

“He knows what's going to happen in a game and how it's going to happen and what you should do, where you're going to get pressed from and where your options should be.

“You should know where the left-mid is going to be and the centre-mid so you can just play in sync, everybody is using one brain and I think that's perfect.

“Hopefully when I'm back fit I can get the chance to play and just build up fitness and confidence again.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Football League clubs face decimation unless they get a financial lifeline from top-flight outfits within the next seven weeks, according to an anxious Championship club exec.

The insider told SunSport: “Unless there is a redistribution of wealth from the top of the game, many clubs won’t be able to survive for much longer.

“The Championship teams need help from the Premier League. If we don’t get it soon a lot of clubs will be staring into the abyss of administration.

“We have no money coming in from gate receipts, sponsorship or merchandising and we’re being told we’ll be playing behind closed doors for the rest of the year…

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Arsenal legend Cesc Fabregas who now plays for AS Monaco reckons the Ligue 1 season was axed “too soon” amid the coronavirus crisis.

And seventh-placed Lyon – who were pushing for a spot in Europe – have threatened legal action after the 2019-20 campaign was scrapped.

He told beIN SPORTS: “It was a big decision that was made and I can understand why they took it

“But maybe it was taken a little too soon, considering a lot of the big league are still all trying to resume.

“Although I completely understand the meaning behind it and it's better to be safe in all accounts, because the most important is the families and the health security of everyone and support this 100 per cent.

“But maybe we could've considered individual training, where you have basically no risk. You're not touching anyone, you're not close to anyone.

“See if everyone was getting closer to football behind played all over the world.

“Obviously, it's very difficult and I understand someone needs to make decisions. We just have to do what they're telling us.

“Difficult moment in our professional lives and personal lives, but we just have to hold on and everything will be fine in the future for sure.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Arsene Wenger has admitted that he still worries about Arsenal – and hopes Mikel Arteta can rediscover the club’s culture.

He told talkSPORT: “I worry about the club still a lot and I watch all of the games.

“I believe there is a culture in the way to play football at Arsenal that I want to be respected, and I hope Mikel can get that back.

“I’m very proud and happy to contribute a little bit to improve things.

“My heart is still with the club. I think a lot of that period. Twenty-two years at one club is unusual. I’m proud.

“At the end of the day when you look back, you don’t think about what you won or lost so much but I’m proud for having the attitude just to serve the club while I was there.

“I have more satisfaction looking back too at the Emirates that we built all that without a penny from anybody.

“And today the club can take off more and be more successful.”

SCHOOL OWNERS: FOR SCHOOLS TO SURVIVE PRO COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THEY MUST DO THE FOLLOWING.

I feel you at this moment. Covid-19 has totally redesigned the world you know, the world you understand and the world in which you built your School from the scratch.

Unfortunately, that world appears to be slipping away from us all.
It is not only you. The whole world is battling what we never imagined could happen. It appears almost surreal and unfortunately it does not have a terminal date.
When it all began, we all assumed that in a few weeks, things will go back to normal but it is obvious that normal is being redefined.

Getting online appears to be the only option but only a few Schools can confidently deliver great content at the moment. Parents are worried. They do not understand where all these will lead to . Will they need to pay money twice for this term, or what will they need to do.
Teachers are agitated. Salaries may not be paid.
Bank loans are hanging
Drivers,Cooks, Cleaners and  other support staff are being laid off.
Yes
We all know the numerous problems

As I reflect on the present crisis, I am telling myself, the Schools that will survive in the years ahead will need to do things differently. I almost panicked when I heard that an all Boys school based in India will be taking off here in September and everything is online. This is certainly the beginning.

Let me paint another scenario. Good  Teachers are discovering a new world. A world of possibilities.
They may no longer be ready to work for just a School

For parents too, Covid 19 is giving them options. Some may choose to learn more about home schooling in the days ahead. They are working with you to ensure their children are learning and they themselves are getting to understand things better.

There are several scenarios that can happen and I hope to capture more in the days ahead

The School that will survive must offer much more than just the stereotype that we have been used to.
1 Communication and a great feedback system will become very critical
2 Flexibility
 3. Creativity
 4. What are the lessons we are learning at a time like this. How can it be built into a curriculum that will teach children how to survive in an unpredictable world .
 5. The School that will survive must create a culture that will bring home  life’s reality to children.
 6. The School that will survive must be ready to do things differently to ensure you get the best from your Team. Why not think of stock options for Teachers who stay for a certain number of years
 7. Your School must be ready in a tangible way to offer much more than ensuring children get good grades.
What does the “ New normal” have for us . Only time will tell. Schools that will survive must be ready to offer what parents and students can never get online....you need to discover what that extra edge will be for your school.
You need to assess once more your value proposition and ensure it is relevant in a post - Covid world .
Yes, we will all go through it and survive but ...the time to think through things is now.

THE GOV. OF CROSS RIVER STATE PROF. BEN AYADE, SEND ECONOMIC WARNING TO BUHARI

The Governor of Cross River State Prof. Ben Ayade, took to his twitter handle to advise President Buhari on the issue of lock down…

He Wrote;

As the nation grapples with the impact of coronavirus on the economy, the loss of jobs in the private sector and the negative spiral effect on small businesses and service providers, another 4wks closure of the airspace will worsen the economic situation of that category

We can do so by allowing the domestic airlines to start flying. As they fly, @NCDCgov should spell out certain conditions like ensuring aircrafts are properly disinfected, ensuring temperature tests are carried out before passengers get on board and that all passengers wear masks

I’m appealing to @MBuhari not to lock down the healthy but rather to lock down the sick and allow the healthy to work. So that the private sector can pick up again, so the suppliers can be back in business as well as laid off workers who are currently going hungry

Governor Wike Orders Arrest Of PHED CEO, Sends Him To Isolation Center see video (Video)

There was mild drama on Thursday as Gov. Wike lead the task force on the enforcment of lockdown order in the state.

One of the notable moments was when the MD / CEO Of PHED was accosted by the Governor for violation of lockdown directive in the state. You would recall that PHED made a donation of some trucks of rice to the Government of Rivers State to assist the government in the fight against covid 19.

As shown in the video, the MD was dumbfounded as he tried to explain to Wike that he is the MD of PHED which is one of the power distribution companies in Nigeria with license to sell electricity in Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Bayelsa. However, Wike, responded, “Which PHED” , and ordered him to be taken to isolation center.

Bakare donates church halls to Lagos, Ogun as isolation centres Saying 'I’m here to correct lamentations of certain people’

Tunde Bakare, the serving overseer of The Citadel Global Community Church, formerly known as Latter Rain Assembly, has donated three church buildings to the Lagos and Ogun state governments as isolation centres.

In a broadcast shared by the church on Sunday, Bakare called on other churches, with multiple facilities to do the same, rather than criticise the government for shutting down congregational worship.

He said he has not asked the churches to do what he himself has not done, stating that his church had donated their facilities to the government in Lagos, while a private residence in Abeokuta has been granted to the Ogun state government.

“This morning, I would like to bring ethical correction to some of the lamentations of certain people within the church over the ban of congregational worship in churches across the land, while markets and hospitals are allowed to operate,” Bakare said.

“I am so glad that no only churches are prevented now from congregating, the mosques also are lockdown.

“The government order to open the markets to operate for a few days is to prevent hunger, especially in the life of daily earners because the palliatives from the government cannot go to every citizen.”

NO SOCIAL-DISTANCING IN THE SPIRIT

He called on the church to lead the campaign against COVID-19 and support the government, stating that there is no social distancing in the spirit.

“Those churches with multiple facilities, rather than their leaders criticising the government, they should collaborate with them. They must be prepared to offer some of their halls to governmental authorities as isolation centres in support of the efforts of the government,” Bakare added.

“After all, it was to the safe custody of the Inn Keeper that the good samaritan in the parable of the good samaritan kept the wounded man left for dead on the way to Jericho.

“The Inn Keeper is the pastor, the inn is the church, the wounded man is the sick world, and the two denarii is wages for two years because a day with the lord is like a thousand years.

“I recommend that our church halls be made available to the government as isolation centres, and those of us who could afford it should be there to support the government.”

Bakare prayed for health workers, and called on every Christian to make their homes, neighbourhood, and workplace as the new pulpits for preaching God’s word.

Governor Nyesom Wike Faces Immediate Legal Action, For Demolishing Two Hotels In Rivers State Due to faulting Lockdown rules.

The Socio-Economic Right and Accountability Project, SERAP, has threatened to institute legal action against the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, over the demolition of two hotels in the State, earlier today, which he claimed disobeyed the Executive Order 6 currently in force in the State, to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

Recall, that the Governor personally supervised the demolition of two hotels in the State, today, saying: “Government has no alternative, but to apply the Executive Order, which I signed before the lockdown of Obio/Akpor and Port Harcourt. I called all the Traditional Rulers and Council Chairmen, and told them to ensure that no Hotel operates in the State.

“We are not saying it will be forever. This is for now, so that we know where we are. To reduce the cases and check the spread.”

Reacting however, to the demolition, SERAP via Twitter, accused Governor Wike of using the coronavirus pandemic to perpetrate human rights violation, noting that, his “Executive rascality” must stop.

SERAP tweeted: “We condemn the reported demolition of Prodest Hotel, by Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike. Using Covid-19 to perpetrate human rights violations, is Executive rascality, and Mr. Wike must stop this now.“

We are taking legal action to hold him and his government to account, for the illegal actions.

“The demolition of Prodest Hotel is forced evictions, and in violation of Article 11 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, and other Human Rights Treaties to which Nigeria is a State party.”

COVID-19: Governor Wike Constructs Iron To Block Boundary Between Rivers & Abia

The Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Nyesom Wike is not taking any chances in his fight against COVID-19, as he has reportedly put a metal fence across his State borders.

Pictures trending on social media show men working at the Rivers/Imo State border and Rivers/Abia State border trying to erect ash-colored metal fences.

In another set of pictures, the fully erect fences could be seen well guarded by security men with instructions not to allow anybody to move into Rivers State.

Nyesom Wike has been at the forefront of COVID-19 fight and had said he will do everything possible to protect the lives of Rivers people.

The governor had recently spelled out new edicts regarding the COVID-19 restrictions of movement in the State. He had said that any hotel operating against the Lockdown rule would be demolished.

Wike had also said that vehicles impounded would be auctioned to the people. True to his words, the governor on Sunday, May 10, ordered the demolition of Prudent Hotel located at Eleme, Rivers State.

Reactions have since trailed the action of the governor with many saying that he is taking the COVID-19 fight to the extreme, while others are of the opinion that nothing is too small or too big to be done in order to save a life.

Someone said, “At this stage, Wike should be stripped of all his security details, let those who have been quiet about his tyrannical actions come and wail. The same bastards who call Buhari a tyrant are very scared to call Wike the same or they’re just trying to ‘unlook’ as usual..”

Another said, “We may not all like Wike but his method in Rivers is quite unconventional. Look if we don’t apply force at this lockdown, we may end up in a serious crisis.”

Covid-19: Maggi Hotel and Tambari Night club was shuts in the state by Sanwo-olu for faulting lockdown rules

Ayobami Agboola, son of Oyo state Government Head of Service, Amidat Agboola ignited an uproar after his conversation with a social media user about a ‘ghost job’ came to light.

A  ‘ghost job’ is a common practice in state and federal civil service whereby names of non-workers widely known as ghost workers, are added into the workforce and used to receive illegal pay.

Ayobami’s role in the ‘ghost job’ scandal was made public after he and a former acquintance, Sulaimon Adesola got into an argument over the response of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration to the Coronavirus pandemic in Oyo state.

While Ayobami insisted that Adesola’s criticism against Makinde’s administration was because he could not secure a “ghost job” under the government, Adesola fired back by stating it was the head of service’s son who promised to use his mother’s influence to secure him a slot.

The screenshots Adesola shared to back his claim compelled Ayobami into admitting that they had the conversation. The Head of Service’s son however denied being involved in a racketeering scheme and only egged him on because he was doing a pro bono work for him.

Below is the screenshot of their conversation
