Arsenal Transfer news and updats

AS claim Arsenal have intensified their efforts to sign César Gelabert despite the player being close to signing a contract extension with Real Madrid. Mikel Arteta is a big fan of the player.
EX-ARSENAL striker Alexis Sanchez is being tipped to finish his career with home country giants Universidad de Chile - after his injury-hit loan spell with Inter Milan.

According to talksport Leicester will reportedly attempt to sign Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney this summer should Chelsea be successful in prising Ben Chilwell away from the King Power Stadium.

There are strong rumours suggesting that an Alexandre Lacazette - Thomas Partey swap deal could be on the cards.

The Federal Government has vowed to lockdown parts of the country again should there be explosion of coronavirus cases.

The Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, said although it expected some lapses in compliance to safety precautions, it was worried corporate organisations, especially banks on Monday flouted the NCDC’s guideline for infection prevention and control.
Speaking during the daily briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, the NCDC boss said: “Initial reports are not too pleasing across the country.
“When we say take responsibility this time, yes we are addressing individuals but we really needed to address corporate Nigeria.
“One of the biggest groups that we have allowed to restart business today were banks.
“When you limit the number of branches that open, everybody goes to the one branch that is open; that becomes counter-productive.
“We can produce all the guidelines in the world but if organisations are not going to come up and support the implementation of these measures and help us manage the risks and focus on a risk-based approach, then our efforts might amount to little or nothing.
“Today we might forgive a little bit because it was the first day. However, we will have infections because of what happened today, no doubt about that.
“But what is more important is how we can learn from the mistakes of today into tomorrow and into next tomorrow, so that by Friday, hopefully they will have normalised some of these things.”
He added: “Yes we knew today will be a problem because for the first time people were let out of their homes but the challenge for us as a society is how we now organise ourselves to mitigate this risk to limit transmission from each other, so that, yes we might have a few extra infections today and tomorrow, but what we dont want is an explosion of new infections.
“If we do have that explosion, there will be almost no choice left for the leadership of the country than to ask all of us to go back into our homes.
“So for the benefits of having a few hours a day of coming out and reopening parts of the economy, there is a price to pay and that price is that we organise ourselves to do this strictly.”

Digital class: if things continue like, only the rich will be educated.

The federal government need to see to things else, only the rich will be educated.
The federal government, state government and others are creating online platform like Whatsapp, telegram, radio, and television channels for the purpose of learning.
Lots of students that have parents that can subscribe for them are currently participating.
The question is about the poor masses that are not privilege to have any of the platform which can serve as means of learning during this pandemic period. I can say categorically that the percentage of students participating in the digital class are less than those that are not participating. And out of those participating, most did not even understand it as they are not use to it. Also for those in lower basic, nursery and creche classes, the government need to find a way of engaging them as the digital class will look strange to them.
As there is ease of lockdown, after observing how things goes, there should be ease in resumption as well with classroom setting to social distancing, different days for each section of the school, washing of hands and other medical directives.
If things continue like this, only the rich will be educated.

4 Things We Notice As Lagos Ease Lockdown Today May 4th

Monday May 4th, 2020, ease of Lockdown has started in Lagos as directed by President Muhammad Buhari.
From what happened on Monday and the number of cases recorded in Lagos so far, the government needs to monitor the way things are going to be sure this ease of lockdown is the right decision or not.

Lagos is one of the most populated state in Nigeria, due to the look of things social distancing to prevent COVID-19 seems not to be working out.

Here Are 4 Things We Notice As Lagos Ease Lockdown Today:-
1. Banks Are Over-Crowded

This lockdown period has really brought about huge crowd of people at almost every bank branch in Lagos.

The crowd is so much in some banks that the security operatives of the banks lost control of enforcing all the social distancing rules in place.

Banks are like market place and attempt to find out what many people are coming to do in banks revealed that the crowd in banks are filled with people who have come to complain about different service failures that happened during lockdown.

2. Commercial Buses Not Following Social Distancing Rules

Danfo drivers and conductors seem to be less concerned about social distancing rules today.

Almost all Danfo buses operate at 100% full loading capacity instead of the 60% loading directed by their chairman, MC Oluomo.

The state government needs to be careful so that COVID-19 will not be moving from one place to another in Lagos using danfo.

3. Majority Complied To The Rule Of Face Mask Use

Trust Lagosians to always show off their creativity when it comes to dressing.

So many different Face Masks emerged on the street of Lagos today ranging from the customized face masks to the ones made with ankara fabrics.

If there is one right thing many people did right in Lagos, it’s the use of Face masks.

4. Zero Social Distancing At Bus Stops

This was expected to happen at most bus-stops in Lagos today and it did happen.

Major bus-stops on Lagos mainland were filled up with people standing very close to each other looking for buses to convey them to their various destinations.

Is this only God that can save us with the look of things.
