Bright Osemudiamen Ezekiel will for a long time remain one of the most entertaining housemates to have made it to Nigeria’s most popular reality TV show, Big Brother Naija.

Popularly called BrightO, he was evicted from the fifth season on Sunday, August 30, 2020. His eviction was met with mixed reactions as he was perceived as one of the viewers’ favourite.

I bumped into him at the reception of the venue where our interview took place and he was quick to say hello. Well, after short pleasantries, we sat down to talk about his stay in the house, all the famous aliases he coined for himself, relationship with Wathoni, and Praise.

The first question that usually comes to my mind every time a new reality TV star is born is how they handle their newfound fame?

“So far so good it has been fun. It feels so good, I’m not gonna lie. Before I went into the house, I had just over 300 followers on IG but, right I have over 200k followers. It’s so amazing, whenever I’m walking around, people are saying ‘BrightO…Lord Baelish’ so amazing,” he said.

BrightO says he was shocked when he got out of the house and realised that Nigerians had coined several names for him including, Lord Baelish, Pastor, Evangelist, Little Finger, and so on.

When most reality TV contestants go into Big Brother’s house, it is assumed that they go there with a strategy to become the fans’ favourite. I asked the marine engineer if he went into the house with any strategy in mind including that of the Lord Baelish character.

“I just went there to be myself. If you noticed the very first week, I was kind of quiet. That’s how I do my thing. When I get to a new environment, I try to study the environment and people and know how to relate to them. So that was it,” he said.

For a lot of people, the reason BrightO got evicted from Big Brother Naija was because of the question and answer session he had with the show’s presenter, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu a week before his eviction.

BrightO refused to disclose to Ebuka the conversation he had with Kiddwaya about Neo. For many, they were disappointed that he let down his alias, Lord Baelish when he chickened out of responding to the question.

“The truth is the way Ebuka threw the question at me, I was confused when he said I gossiped about Neo to Kiddwaya. I was surprised. I didn’t see it as gossip, I just said something to Kiddwaya,” he said.

“It wasn’t coming from a bad angle, it was actually from a good angle. I even walked up to Neo and we talked about it and he understood. I don’t think that’s the reason, I don’t think that’s the reason but if that’s the reason then…I don’t know.”

The reality TV star believes the reason he was evicted from the Big Brother house is that, the other housemates had fans who buckled up and voted immensely for them.

The last two weeks of his stay in the Big Brother house saw the Sailor turned reality TV star get cozy around two female housemates, Wathoni and Dorathy.

“The main thing is that I vibe a whole lot with Dorathy as she’s the funniest housemate in the Big Brother house. But with Wathoni, I spent the most time with her and we discussed a whole lot of things. I guess that’s why I was more close to Wathoni,” he said.

We pried further by asking if he was attracted to Wathoni; “Of course she is a beautiful girl, she’s fine, she’s nice,” he said. He, however, intends to keep his special friendship with Wathoni.

One of the major highlights of BrightO’s stay in Biggie’s house was his famous conversation with Kiddwaya, where he revealed that Praise’s wife was almost 60 years old.

The reality TV star said the reason he told Kiddwaya about Praise’s wife was that he saw him as a bully and it was just a way to get back at him.

“I had that conversation with Praise and it was not just me. He was telling me and two other housemates about his fiancee. And he said something about his fiancee being way way older than him. He wasn’t specific about the age. I can’t remember him being specific about the age,” he said.

“When he said way way older and I guess he is 28 so I guess 60…50 and they fall in the same bracket as being way way older that was why I used that particular age. I didn’t say that just to trend or whatever, but I did that because of the way he used to act in the house to sometimes me and one other guy like that. I can consider that as bullying.”

“So that was why I made that statement that if I want to get to this guy, I known what to do. I was having, a normal one on one conversation with Kidd, and I was airing my emotions to him. I don’t have anything against Praise, it was just that bullying. He is my friend and we play a lot.”

BrightO says he will miss the Big Brother house a lot. He also hopes Kiddwaya emerges the winner of the show on the last day.

For the future, he would love to go into fashion and probably use his now-famous word ‘Apply Pressure’ as his fashion brand.

BBNaijalockdown: Laycon reveals his next plan for Erica and it’s a tough one

Big Brother Naija season 5 housemate, Laycon is yet to learn his lesson with the several rejection he has gotten from Erica. He has now vowed not to relent on his quest to conquer Erica’s heart despite all odds.

Erica won the Head of House challenge for the fourth week of the 5th edition of Big Brother Naija Reality Show and she picked Kiddwaya over Laycon to be his deputy.

Laycon was heartbroken over her choice but he won’t back down yet. He made this known in a recent conversation he had with his fellow housemates – Brighto and Praise.

His next plan is to put more pressure on Erica who obviously won’t succumb but he seems to be determined with his heart desire.

Speaking with Brighto and Praise about the love triangle he’s currently in, he said that there are things Erica has said to him during their recent conversations that made him believe he still has a chance with her if only he applies more pressure.

Brighto and Praise however had a different perspective on the issue as they both told Laycon that Erica is already drawn to Kiddwaya.

Toyin Lawani has dropped a shade for an unmentioned Big Brother Naija housemate as she recounted some past experiences with the female housemate she insinuated dated her baby daddy, Lord Trigg.

Narrating how she was called an old hag and an amoeba in a shade post shared on her baby daddy’s Instagram account in 2018, the celebrity stylist said she later found out it was her baby daddy’s girlfriend that used his phone in making the post.

Pointing out how same words were used in a fight Lucy was involved in shortly after the BBNaija eviction show on Sunday night, the mother of two alleged that the reality show star she is shading also went under the knife to look like her.

Toyin Lawani also disclosed that she went fibriod surgery and breast lump removal in Turkey at that time and not for plastic surgery. She added that if the BBNaija housemate never “looked for her trouble in the past, she wouldn’t look for her trouble in the future”.

BBNaija Lucy crowned ‘The Indaboski’ following fight with Nengi

It is pure fact that this week’s biggest content in the BBNaija Lockdown house came from BBN Lucy.

Big Brother Naija, BBNaija housemate, Ozo has admitted to having an erection in the house because of Nengi.

Ozo has had an embarrassing moment a few days ago when he got an erection.

He, however, rushed to put his hand in his pocket and covered up.

On Friday during an intimate conversation with Nengi in the garden, he told her that he had an erection after he saw her change into a black outfit and could not help it.

BBNaija 2020: Why I want to leave the house – Lucy

BBNaija housemate, Lucy, who was the previous Head of House, has disclosed that she is fed up of the activities in the house and is considering leaving the reality TV show.

She made this known while in a discussion with fellow housemate Dorathy, where she stated that she is fed up with housemates not taking her suggestions during a task and selecting their favourites.

Lucy said:

“I’ll rather not be here than cause so many things in Biggie’s house. Let me just leave before I cause problems. I would learn from outside I don’t want to be seeing some certain things.”

However, Dorathy advised Lucy to stay, learn from housemates, and stop being too emotional.

During their discussion, Dorathy also told Lucy on her relationship with Ozo and how the male housemate stands to benefit more from her than she could benefit from him.

I’m not physically attracted to you, Erica tells Laycon

BBNaija housemate, Erica has opened up to Laycon that she is not in any way attracted to him physically, but mentally.

She made this known to the rapper during a discussion yesterday after he approached her to reiterate his interest in her.

Recall that Laycon had told Erica on Tuesday that he had feelings for her and cares about being in a relationship with her.

However, hours later, Erica and Kiddwaya had a steamy session in bed.

Seeking clarifications on Tuesday night, Laycon approached Erica to reveal her feelings for him.

During the conversation, Erica told Laycon that she is only mentally attracted to him but physically attracted to Kiddwaya.

Big Brother Najia, BBNaija Lockdown housemates, Erica and Kiddwaya may have finally had sex with each other, last night.

The lovebirds who appear to be head over heels in love with each couldn’t get their hands off each other as they packed the on PDA last night.

BBNaija: Chaos As Male Housemates Confront Female Housemates After Seeing Blood Stains On The Bed And Used Pads In Toilet

BBNaija’s male housemates have questioned the female housemates upon seeing used pads in the washroom.

One of the male housemates, Ozo, whose bed was stained with period blood, was fumed with anger and this drew the attention of the other male housemates who came together to find the lady responsible for it.

Federal Government denies stopping #BBNaijia

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has denied ordering the suspension of ongoing Big Brother Naija.

A report on social media on Friday said Minister of Information and Cultural Orientation, Alhaji Lai Mohammed had directed NBC to stop BB Naija broadcast in the country.

But speaking on Saturday night, the NBC Acting Director General, Dr Armstrong Idachaba said it was not true that BB Naija had been suspended.

Dr Idachaba dissociated the NBC from the report and urged Nigerians to disregard it.

Big Brother Naija Season 5 premiered on July 19.

Winner of Season 5 BBNaija will get a cash prize worth N85million, the highest so far since the inception of the show.

In addition is a two-bedroom apartment, Champions League finale trip, one-year supply of Pepsi, branded chiller, a trip to Dublin, home appliances including TV, premium fridge and several other prizes.

The reality TV show is gradually taking shape with some housemates making  good impression of themselves so far.
