How 2 of my children died because of my acting career – Alapinni

Veteran Yoruba actor Ganiyu Nofiu, popularly known as Alapinni and renowned for the perfect interpretation of herbalist’s role in the movies has opened up on some of the crisis he experienced during his acting career.

In this interview on Ojopagogo TV, Alapini said thus:

It was pleasant because of the passion that led me into the profession. I did not mind the crisis in the journey, but rather such a crisis made the journey more interesting.

There were so many challenges.. Em.. the challenges I encountered were ailments. That time, I remember I went to a town (name withheld) to felicitate with some traditional worshippers. From there, I got hallucinated and went on a sickbed for a whole year, before I was rescued by the Almighty God.“The tougher one I could mention was when I was preparing to celebrate my little child’s Walimat.

My first child was brought home from school terribly sick.  We tried all we could. On the Waliomat day of my little child, the child who was sick died that same day.“The loss pained me to the marrow, but I accepted my fate. After that incident, other challenges were the days of plenty and the days of having nothing to eat at all. Days I was supposed to perform my responsibilities to my parents but could not do anything. Those were the challenges I encountered that period.“

When were you mostly grieved?

On the day I was embarking on a journey to where I was charmed, my child who used to play with me, cuddled me, and I observed that he was crying. I tried to pacify him as he was only 4 years old. I later proceeded on the journey. When I returned, I did not see him alive anymore. When I was on a sickbed, I was looking at his picture, not knowing that he had died a day before I arrived home. By the time people broke the sad news to me the next morning, I felt so bitter, because I loved him so much.“

The second one was when I was preparing for my child’s wolimat, that my first son was brought in very sick and eventually died. It’s so sad losing a grown-up child.“But God is unquestionable. I became happy immediately because God gave me the grace to hold the child’s Wolimat before that my child’s life was taken by God in the evening. So, I thank God for the grace given me to have something to be grateful for.“The day I lost that child was my saddest day.

Singer Hit And Killed By Train While Live-Streaming Himself

A Romanian pop star was killed when a train smashed into his car – with the stomach-churning moment captured on camera as he live streamed to his followers.

Tavy Pustiu, 29, was listening to loud music in his car when the locomotive ploughed into the car’s passenger side – killing him and leaving his wife fighting for her life.

The shocking video footage shows the up and coming musician listening to loud manele music, a type of pop-folk music popular in Romania.

Bopping to the music, the clip shows him looking deeply into the camera lens as he smoked a cigarette. In the live stream, his wife can be seen driving towards a level crossing in the city of Ploiesti, in Romania’s Prahova County. For a brief moment, he panned the camera across to his wife as both of them grinned at the camera.

She can be seen looking left and right at the crossing but clearly fails to spot the speeding train. Suddenly, Mr Pustiu lets out a scream as he sees the train hurtling towards the car, but tragically it was too late. The train smashed into the side of the white Ford Fiesta, setting both airbags off and completely crumpling the side of the car that Mr Pustiu was in.

A local police spokesman in Prahova over said: “As a result of a collision between a train and a car on the level crossing a 29-year-old man who was the passenger in the front of the car was declared dead and a 24-year-old woman who was the driver was injured. “The accident happened because of non-compliance with the rules at the level crossing.” They said that the train had been travelling between Maneciu and Ploiesti Sud and that it had been complicated for firemen to remove the pair from the wreckage.

His wife, who was not named, remains in a critical condition and is on life support at the Prahova County Hospital after the accident, which caused several hours of delays in both road and rail traffic.

Tragically, just one month before his death, the singer had posted a message to followers on Facebook saying: “One day, the wrong train will take you to the right destination.”

Nollywood Actress, Ayo Adesanya Says She's Ready To Remarry At 51

Veteran Nollywood actress, director, and producer, Ayo Adesanya has revealed that she is ready to give marriage another shot after her first trial packed up years ago.

According to mom-of-one who recently turned 51, if she finds a ‘good man’, nothing can stop her from giving it another shot.

In a recent chat with Punch, the stunning mom shares what she expects from a man who would be lucky to walk her down the aisle again.

Adesanya told the news outlet: “Yes, I will give marriage a try if I see a good man. If I find what I like, why wouldn’t? Nothing can stop me from getting married again if the opportunity comes.

“I don’t think it’s too late for marriage at 51. Haven’t you seen people who gave birth to babies even at 60? Nothing is impossible for God.

“I know a very beautiful lady that got married at the age of 50 and had her baby at 55. Things like that made me include that it is never too late to do anything. With the way life is structured, nothing is impossible.

“I was once in entanglement and I’ve tried to be careful over the years. I have seen quite a lot of interested men but it’s very difficult to know who is true and who is not. However, one cannot be too careful because love is supposed to be unconditional. One can be very careful and still make mistakes.

“I’m not giving myself a time frame (to get married) because I’m having the best time of my life. I am at peace with myself and I know that the peace can continue only if I see the right person.”

Adesanya maintained that though she was still open to marriage, she didn’t consider it a do-or-die affair.

She said, “If marriage doesn’t come, one would still live one’s life. It is not a do-or-die affair, and not everybody would get married. When people get married and stay in it, I consider them lucky. These days, marriages don’t last. When one hears the things happening everywhere, getting ‘entangled’ would be scary. People that are not married still live happily.

‘’On the other hand, some people are friends and lovers, and it works out well for them. Marriage only makes it official and strengthens the commitment.’’
