President Muhammadu Buhari had made 38 new appointments into the board of the Federal Character Commission, FCC.

He wrote a letter to the Senate which reads:

“In compliance with the provision of section 154 (1) of the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended, I write to request for confirmation by the senate for 38 nominees as chairman and members of the Federal Character Commission,”

It will be recalled that the Senate had on February 25 urged President Buhari to reconstitute boards of the Federal Character Commission (FCC) with immediate effect.
